seeing out the summer with some adorable sets of cheeks

I really need to get back to my original practice of using 6-8 images for a preview here, so that I can get them up in a more timely manner.  But do you see this family??  Do you see how hard that would be??  I couldn’t do it.

I’ve photographed the oldest here a few times  before, but this was the first as a big sister – and she was suddenly so much more grown up!  Helping her little sisters, talking and expressing ideas, interacting with the ducks, and just being a little lady – I’ve seen them grown before but it’s just as incredible every time.   I love the movement you get in the photos with this age.   You’ll seeing more of her soon, because I’ll be with her this weekend for her 3rd birthday!

This was my first meeting with these 8-month-old twins.  Double the cheeks, double the leg chub, double the cuteness.  And each with their own personality already.

Thanks, M family!  For coming out to play with me, and for your photogenic genes.  🙂

Return of the ducks

I photographed this family last summer – same month, same location, but it was something like 20-30 degrees hotter.  I still had so much fun with them!  These boys are awesome – so smart and funny.  And their mom ain’t so bad, either.  🙂

Loved getting to see them again – and I’m glad we had some cooler weather.  We got in a visit with the ducks just before the rain hit us.

Here’s a little preview:
(Oh – to explain the extreme close-up of older brother’s face.  I noticed that you could see the complete form of his younger brother in his eye.  I felt I needed to share…  enjoy! 🙂 )

Fabulous pictures. Love them all! Thanks for making it fun.

running through the summer

What’s harder than pinning down an 18-month to 2-year-old for a photo?  How about a running 12 month old!
I love those ages, though.  Sure, they are running wild, and don’t yet respond to pleas for cooperation, but they are also completely themselves in front of the camera.  No fake smiles here.

Here’s the preview from Miss S’s 1-year-old session!  It’s starting to look like fall with some of the leaves on the ground, but it was actually a warm (quite warm), sunny, summer afternoon.  Love her little wispy ginger curls.

Captain D, 10 days old

Frogs, and planes, and turtle’s tails, that’s what little boys are made of.
Isn’t that how it goes?

I finally  have a preview up for this sweet family!  How handsome is this 10-day-old boy?
Loved meeting them and seeing their home – what a fantastic place to grow up!

Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures of one very happy family!

[…] here, but I have even more of them…  I can’t help myself. You can see a preview of his newborn session here.  I just looked back at it myself; I think it’s impossible to pick the cutest age – […]

[…] can see little newborn baby D here and then see him a little more wide-eyed and alert at 4-5 months […]
