a May morning with Miss V

I got to go to this gal’s 1st birthday party this past fall, and now, half a year later, we returned for a few pictures at the site of her parent’s wedding.  This time she was enjoying the freedom of being able to run full speed.  So, here are a few of the pictures of this playful, growing girl.

March flashback

I’ve gotten so very behind on personal photos… going to start the catch-up process right now…

Back on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, I had a lovely reunion with my 2 college roommates.  We met at the home of one of them, got to meet her new daughter, played with her sons, drank a little wine, and did a whole lot of talking.  It’s so nice to have one of these weekends once in a while…  And I’m about to have one again!  On my way to stay with my other favorite roommate this time, but we’re going to meet up with our third at our old college grounds.

Because I know that one of these ladies would stab me in my sleep if I posted a photo of her (no matter how fabulous she looks), I’m just going to focus on the 3 little people we were with all weekend.   In a day we went to the river walk, came back and played in the back yard, the boys posed for photos with their new sister, got ready for bed, had one conk out, cooked-out, and played soccer in pj’s with the remaining awake young man.    It was the first weekend to feel like summer!  Summers of long ago, when I played outside until the sun went down.

I offered this guy a cookie when he found a missing lens cap in record time. He said he didn't want a cookie, so I asked what he'd like. He said, "A kiss." And then with a tap added, "On my forehead." Completely irresistible.

Just the guys

Just after this was taken big brother whispered that that he’d like a picture of just him and his sister.  But he offered up the chance to his little brother first.  (See how sweet they were?)

This is Sam's "I'm going to beat you" soccer face. I got to know it well.

Thanks to Chris for getting this of my end-of-day soccer practice with my friend, Zachary.

I love these pictures. You did a fantastic job capturing each one’s personality. (I’m Chris’s aunt.)

adventures at the duck pond

So many scary things out there – including the ducks, geese, and of course, baby  ducks at the duck pond.  This sister and brother braved it out, though, and managed to remain adorable at the same time.  This is a very small selection from that day…

Where were you last week when I needed photos of my boy turning 1? 🙂 These are great! I didn’t know you were going pro! Congrats!

[…] last time I saw these guys made for one of my earlier blog posts, but you can see it here!  They were a family of 4 then, and brother had big blonde curls.  They all had fun together, big […]

walking around the square…

I’ve been hanging out with several young blonde fellows the past 2 weeks…   I first met this family about a year and a half ago, when this guy was a very happy baby.  Now he’s a very active 2-year-old.  We walked around the town square, where he found 2 favorite things: 1) the train-shaped slide and 2) the fountain.  I think he could have stayed all night at the fountain.  But that was the perfect way to cool off after a warm day!
