Fall Mini-Sessions, Part 1!

Well, here’s a little confession (that won’t be surprising for most people who know me.)  I struggle so much to find the time to fit everything into my days, that when it comes to this work, I prioritize location scouting, learning, prepping, shooting, and post-processing and getting those images turned back around to my families over things like updating my website and blogging.  So I started letting that slip, and at this point I am so behind I am due for a major overhaul.

But while I work on that, I am determined to blog a little goodness, even if it is from the past!  So here I’m going to dive into fall mini-sessions –  not from this past fall – but from 2015!   Because that’s how I roll these days.

My first day was in Buckhead in front of a friend’s yard that has beautiful lighting through the trees in the morning.  As it turns out, fall of 2015 was the Season Of The Rain – and if it wasn’t raining, it was overcast and looking like it was about to rain, and we were thankful for that.
Still, these five families showed up bright and early, and we had fun on this little fence!

L-family – fun and falls!

This mom’s brother and sister-in-law are good friends of mine, and when they asked if they could get a gift certificate as a Christmas gift for this family, I thought it was a terrific idea!

And oh my goodness, did I have fun with these 4.  We had a beautiful evening full of golden light, and plenty of laughs.  It was one of those nights when everything is perfect.

Well, except for maybe Mom’s fall at the end during a little family race…  She *may* have asked me to delete those images, but I felt it was my duty to give them all to her (she’ll want to see these some day, right??) and I only included one at the beginning and two at the end here, although I did have a few more capturing the middle of the tumble (and believe me, someone is going to enjoy those one day.)  And she was fine and had a good long laugh before getting up to brush herself off.

Here’s a look at this lovely family:

Booking for Fall Minis! Almost!

I have the mini-session page (click here) all set up to go for bookings, and while testing the calendar app I use tonight it suddenly stopped working.  I had planned to make it live at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7th, but that may be on hold until I can get some tech support…!
Please check back soon, and if you’re not already, contact me about being added to my email list, or check my facebook page for updates!

Looking forward to getting fall underway…!

Fall photo session.

I really appreciate your work!
Any chance you are doing family/holiday mini sessions? My kids have limited attention spans and a 20-30 minute session would be ideal.

Thank you,

Hello! We would love to book a fall mini-session if you are not completely booked! We are new to Atlanta and things have been so chaotic we haven’t had a chance to have family photos for holiday cards or otherwise. We typically like to get family pics a few times a year and we are so off! If you are booked, I completely understand. Have a good day!

Intown and in nature with the P family

Happy Labor Day!  I am posting a session from one year ago this weekend!  On one hand, not very timely… on the other hand, perfectly timely as it was an end of summer session.  🙂

I last saw the P-family the winter before (which you can see here), and they were SO adorable, and SO fun – I was so glad to see them again – and have a little more time to play for this one!
We started in town on the west-side of Atlanta, where the these kids were thrilled to have a chance to see passing trains go underneath our bridge.  Then, just for fun, we moved to a little creek not far from there, put on some rainboots, and played in the water.  This spirited older sister got a chance to run and jump, and her brother, a nature lover, got to find and collect and admire more leaves and rocks (I was pretty impressed with this guy).  And baby sister – still the cutest thing ever.

Here’s a sample of our time together!
