Ty boy

I apologize in advance for the largeness of this post – for all the photos you are about to see of the same baby.  But he is my new nephew, so I had to take full advantage.

Have you ever found it difficult to photograph your own children?  You’re not alone.  I hear it often.  In fact, if you bring your child to a photographer and they’re absolutely determined not to cooperate, you’d be surprised at what a difference it makes if you just walk out of eyesight.  Most of the time, they put on a completely different attitude when it’s just them and this person with a camera.

Well, my nieces are just about as comfortable with me as anyone, which means that they did not feel the need to be shy, or hold my instructions with any sort of reverence.  They were just as goofy as could be.  So I have included some outtakes for your viewing pleasure.  (Including one of our outdoor time in which the 2-year-old absolutely refused to sit facing in the same direction as her siblings.)  These are some of my favorites.

So meet my nephew Ty!  At 1 week old, and then again at the very end at 2 weeks.  (I tried for just 1 successful shot of the 3 of them.  As you can see, the 2-year-old was happy to lay down by herself while her brother was being fed, but as soon as she was supposed to lay down, preferred to stand over her siblings and try to block the light.)
