That’s what my 6-year-old niece said when she looked back through pictures on my camera and saw these of 8 babes lined up on some steps, in school-like fashion. Her tone seemed to imply that I had taken an exciting field trip without her, so I explained that no, I had not gone to pre-school, that these were the children of 6 friends who had had a total of 8 babies all within a year.
So, we got them together for a photo! It was anticipated that the moms would set them down and that they’d scatter in all directions, but what actually happened was: 1) moms place children on steps, 2) moms run behind me and start making all sorts of noise, 3) babies stare in confused/stunned silence.
We then tried to get the moms and the 2 older siblings in as well, and at that point we started getting some crawlers and some criers. But that’s the way it goes, and it’s fun to see the chaos, anyway.
