Over Thanksgiving weekend, my sister and I took her two girls over to the river, in an attempt for some Christmas-time pictures. But, we waited a little late in the day – partly because of a long wait at the doctor’s office for me, and partly because at 6 1/2, one of the girls has decided that sweaters “make me look like an old lady.” So by the time we got there, there wasn’t much light left, and the 1 1/2 year old was getting hungry fast. We couldn’t get her to even face the camera until the very end during a rendition of “Itsy-Bitsy Spider”. Combine that with the freedom of the open space that made them want to run and explore, and we end up with some pictures that are… not exactly what my sister had in mind.
But they’re fun – and, definitely befitting these two girls at these ages. Here’s a look at the sisters, 5 years apart.
