Summertime

I’ve been enjoying a summer visit from my sister and her two girls, a 6-year-old who would like to be a teenager, and a 1-year-old who just wants to toddle around unsteadily and eat everything in sight.

I was just looking back at the past few days…

Here we have Lilly the Intrigued, the Content, and the Visionary

Sara Beth was excited about having a sister – one of the pluses being that they could dress alike and look like “twins”.  I’m not sure that the enthusiasm for matching clothes will last much longer, so I documented this last night just as it was getting dark…
(In the middle one she’s saying, “This is hopeless.”  Because, you know, 1-year-olds don’t always want to stay in one place and look where she tells them to.)

There’s an inverse tooth situation going on here:

When I visited in April for the birthdays, she sat with her feet crossed and her hands clasped and her cheeks sucked in at all times.  I loved it and it’s already going away!  The ankles still cross sometimes though…  her poor little eczema ankles…

See you again soon-
